< 18.5
Underweight (< 18.5): May indicate malnutrition, eating disorders, or other health issues.
18.5 - 24.9
Normal weight (18.5 - 24.9): Weight range considered healthy for most people.
25.0 - 29.9
Overweight (25.0 - 29.9): Moderate risk of developing weight-related diseases.
30.0 - 34.9
Obese Class I (30.0 - 34.9): Increased risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.
35.0 - 39.9
Obese Class II (35.0 - 39.9): Significantly increased risk of health complications.
≥ 40.0
Obese Class III (≥ 40.0): Very high risk of serious health problems.
⚠️ BMI Limitations: BMI does not differentiate between muscle mass and fat. Athletes may have elevated BMI due to muscle mass while maintaining low body fat percentage. For a complete assessment, consult a healthcare professional.
